The Middle East is an area where automobile is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually pushed up the cost of oil, the concern of finding alternative of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
